DLGA Junior Golf Association

As a main priority for DLGA Silport we consider the development of new talent to the game integral to us.

The Silport DLGA Junior Golf Association offers one of the most extensive junior programs in China. Through a wide variety of activities, we provide the highest level of golf instruction in a fun and exciting environment. By exposing the game to children at a young age and teaching them the fundamentals of the game, they will be able to establish golfing habits that will last a lifetime.

The development of young players is critical and follows many different areas. Physical literacy, knowledge and education in all departments, fitness, golf conditioning, technique and desire are key areas for all young players to be guided through.

With our vast experience in instruction we have the programme in place to offer any young and able student the best possible training environment.

Junior Development Program – JDP

The DLGA Junior Development Program (JDP) is a group instruction program consisting of six color-coded levels, allowing students to learn golf, improve their skills, and advance through the levels of the program. In every level, students will be given goals to accomplish before they can advance to the next level.

The JDP is designed for boys and girls ages 6-17. Students will be grouped in terms of ability and a skills assessment is held every month to give the student a clearly defined goal to strive towards. Below is a brief description of the six color-coded levels of the JDP.

The JDP Program encompasses Technique on all areas of the game, on course lessons, rules and etiquette, mental conditioning ensuring that the player’s entire game is developed whilst increasing the players interest.

DLGA Junior Holiday Camps

DLGA holiday camps are five-day intensive training camps conducted during school holidays.

Each camp’s focus is on enhancing every student’s level of golf by teaching proper swing fundamentals, developing short game and course management skills. Participants in the DLGA Holiday Camps will be able to enjoy their holidays by spending an entire week improving their golf.

Holiday camps are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced golfers and content varies depending on playing level.

Silport Golf Club Junior Tournament Series

Designed to give junior golfers valuable tournament experience our Junior series Tournaments are conducted at Silport Golf Club, seven-time host of the Volvo China Open. Boys and girls ages 6-17 are encouraged to participate in the tournament schedule. Participants will be separated into different divisions based on their age with prizes available for the winner and runner-up for each division.
